Attendant Care & Personal Support
Overview
Attendant Care and Personal Support is provided on a 24/7 basis by a team of approximately 90 full-time, part-time and relief Personal Support Workers (PSWs) on staff. We provide personal support accompaniment, cooking, cleaning, and shopping to people living with complex physical disabilities in our three residential locations across the Greater Toronto Area.
How to Apply
The Attendant Service Application Centre (ASAC) is the centralized point of access for individuals with physical disabilities applying for attendant services in Toronto and York Region. ASAC is located at the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto (CILT), Inc. You can contact ASAC for an ASAC Application Package or you can download it here:
Our Services
Vibrant Healthcare Alliance provides accessible primary health care services for people with physical disabilities
Supportive Housing
Attendant care services for persons with physical disabilities in a supportive housing environment.
Outreach Services
On a fee for service basis, supports provided at the workplace, conferences, schools, and meetings.
Nurturing Assistance
A client-directed service that provides physical assistance to parents with disabilities who have young children. Nurturing assistance may include assisting the parent with parenting activities such as bathing and changing the child, preparing meals, lifting, carrying, nursing and cuddling the child, playing and parent-child interacting.
